U-ROCK® Legal & Trademark Policy

Trademark notice, licensing, and infringement reporting

Trademark notice

U-ROCK® and associated logos, station identities, and brand marks are trademarks of The U-ROCK® Network, LLC ("U-ROCK® Network"), used in connection with broadcast media, music discovery, artist development, and community programming. Unauthorized use of these marks, or use of a name confusingly similar to them in a related line of business, may constitute trademark infringement under applicable law.

Our approach to enforcement

We take trademark protection seriously because the U-ROCK® name represents decades of work. That said, our first step is always a direct, good-faith conversation — not a legal threat. Where an existing business is found to be using a similar name, we prefer to offer a clear path forward: a defined trademark license, rather than disruption of an operating business.

This reflects our general practice; it is not a waiver of any right, and nothing here should be read as legal advice or a guarantee of outcome in any specific matter.

Trademark licensing

If you currently operate under a name that may conflict with a U-ROCK® mark, you can request a licensing conversation. Typical licenses define a fixed term, a specific scope of use tied to your business, an agreed one-time or periodic fee, and a renewal check-in before the term ends.
